Representatives from the optoelectronics industry are preparing to meet at one of Asia's most prominent photonics exhibitions next month.
Photonics Festival in Taiwan 2009 will be held from June 10th to 12th at the Taipei World Trade Centre and will feature 350 exhibitors covering LEDs, optics, photovoltaics and all other aspects of the industry.
This year's theme is green photonics, focusing on technologies or products which are energy-saving, non-polluting or able to generate power.
Developments such as solar cars, LED fixtures and biophotonics will be demonstrated throughout the three-day show.
Key manufacturers including Panasonic, Seoul Semiconductor, Optotech, Everlight, Genius Electronic Optical and LiteOn are all planning to attend and exhibit at the event.
The festival will follow soon after Taipei's recent IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems 2009, which ran between May 24th and 27th and is considered the world's premier networking forum in the industry.
