The first draft of the so called China RoHS Catalogue was published in October,
some two years later than expected.
The first draft incorporated the 6 substances of EU RoHS and covered mobile
handsets and telephones (with 10 exemptions) and computer printers (12 exemptions).
The draft currently sits with the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Technical Barrier to
Trade Committee (TBT).
The legislation will enter into force 10 months after it has been adopted.
