The GO1525 & GO1555 are self contained, miniature Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) that produce a clean 1.485GHz reference clock signal for a range of Gennum SD/HD SerDes products. The control voltage range is from 1.0V to 1.5V and is derived from the on-chip PLLs. The GO1525 frequency can be pulled approximately 32MHz for every 1V of control. The output level is typically -9.0dBm with low spurious and noise content and is designed to drive 50Ω strip lines.

GO1525 & GO1555 SD/HD Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) Key Features

  • Generates 1.485GHz or 1.485/1.001GHz signal for Gennum’s SD/HD SerDes solutions
  • 50Ω output impedance
  • Operates from a single 2.5V supply and typically draws 15mA.
  • 8 pin surface mount package (T&R only)
  • Supports Gennum’s GS1560, GS1559 and GS9060 SD/HD Deserializers
  • Supports Gennum's GS1532, GS1531 and GS9062 SD/HD Serializers

GO1525 and GO1555 Key Value Added Advantages

  • GO1555 offers even lower power than GO1525 running typically 20mW less
  • GO1555 offers lower jitter
  • GO1555 temperature range is -40°C to +85°C
  • GO1555 supports Gennum's GS4915 ClockCleaner™ - refer to Gennum group folder for more detail on this derivative.
  • Optimal performance of the GO1555 is achieved using slightly different loop bandwidth component values than those used with the GO1525
