Gennum Teams with NewGenR to Expand Sales Efforts in Korea

Bolsters Efforts to Support 3DTV Broadcast, Networking Demands

 

SEOUL, KOREA – August, 2010 – Responding to strong customer demand in Korea for its semiconductor solutions, Gennum Corporation has added NewGenR as its Korean sales representative. A leading electronics distributor for the Korean market, NextGenR will promote, sell and support Gennum’s complete portfolio of analog and mixed signal products. “Much of the industry’s 3DTV infrastructure and broadcast equipment design is being done in Korea today,” said Jae Boo Lee, CEO, NewGenR. “That, along with the continued demands for solutions to serve the high performance networking and storage markets, presents a tremendous opportunity for Gennum’s high-speed signal integrity products. With our extensive knowledge of and expertise in broadcast, telecom, networking and storage design, we can now offer the most advanced mixed-signal IC solutions to our customers.” Under this new agreement, NewGenR will provide technical sales and support for Gennum’s industry-leading analog and mixed-signal IC solutions, including its complete line of clock and data recovery (CDR), SD/HD/3G-SDI, optical, cable driver, equalizer and limiting amplifier products, as well as its Aviia interface solutions for industrial and security products. “Teaming with NewGenR expands our global sales network and further demonstrates our strategy to provide customers with local support and technical expertise for our complete portfolio of signal integrity solutions,” said Klaus Mueller, Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Gennum Corporation. “Emerging as a specialized demand creation representative for the Korean market, NewGenR enables Gennum to successfully serve our Korean customers in the broadcast, telecom, security/surveillance, networking and storage markets.”
