Overview

LED spot light is mostly used where even illumination is required in certain area. To create even illumination it need bubble optics and you can choose wider angle optics or narrow angle optics to get more or less area to be illuminated. Ultra-wide angle optics for luminaire designs that require the efficient lighting of wide areas with even illuminance. This optics is suitable for low bay lighting, emergency lighting, parking facilities illumination, street light and many other applications with wide beam and high uniformity needs.

Here we demonstrate the LED wider angle Spot Light application with National LM3404HV driver. This spot light application uses 120 degree Bubble optics, so based on application optics can be selected like 20, 30, 45 degree and can build various application with the help of this driver. This spot light uses 5 LED’s & 5 optics, the driver can support upto 1A of o/p current and can drive maximum 15-18 LEDs.

This board can drive maximum upto 45W and with the help of this board can make many LED based application, like spot light, office lighting, exhibition hall lighting, downlight, medical based application –Surgery & Dental etc…

Hence based on application need to look below design consideration

  • LED Cluster
  • Optics
  • Thermal Management
