Next-generation LCD Coaxial Embedded Display Interface connectors

provide exceptional electrical performance in low-voltage differential signaling and embedded DisplayPort applications.

 

CHICAGO, OCTOBER 6, 2011 Newark/element14, a leading multi-channel, high-service electronics distributor in the Americas, and a business of Premier Farnell, announced today it was stocking TE Connectivity’s new LCEDI connectors, featuring new technology that provides an interconnection between notebook LCD panels and main processor boards, using micro coax cable at speeds of 2.7Gbps (or discrete wire AWG 32 teflon or smaller).

 

The ultra-low profile mating configuration offers a user-friendly friction lock mechanism at the shell when mated, or an optional full lock mechanism with pull bar. Application areas include notebook and tablet PCs
