element14 and Microchip together presents PIC18 MCU based the PIC18F26J50 EVK Flowcode Development Kit, it's a development and demonstration kit designed to provide developers a hands-on approach to learn Flowcode 4 (Graphical Programming Languages) more easily. The kit is based on PIC18F26J50 microcontroller, and integrates temperature sensor, capacitor touch sensor and potentiometer to help developers verify their programs designed by Flowcode 4.
Flowcode 4 is one of the worlds most advanced graphical programming languages for microcontrollers. The great advantage of Flowcode is that it allows those with little to no programming experience to create complex electronic systems in minutes. Flowcode supports code generation for the PIC® microcontrollers (PIC12, PIC16, and PIC18 series ), PIC24 and dsPIC® digital signal controllers. The professional edition includes drivers for a wide range of subsystems like LCDs, keypads, 7-segment displays, ADC, and PWM, as well as communication protocols including I2C, SPI, RS-232 , Zigbee, TCP/IP, etc. Flowcode is compatible with Microchip's PICkit® programmer as well as third party programmers, and is also compatible with the HI-TECH C compiler.
The PIC18F26J50 MCU is a low power and high performance 8-bit MCU with integrated full-speed USB 2.0 and peripheral flexibility comes in a small package for cost sensitive applications in the PIC18 J-series. New features include Deep sleep mode for low power applications, Peripheral Pin Select for design flexibility for mapping peripherals to I/O pins and a CTMU module for easy capacitive touch user interfaces. The PIC18F46J50 family is ideal for applications requiring cost-effective, low-power USB solutions with a robust peripheral set in a small package.
