Scope series offers up to 5 GS/s sample rate to bring a new level of measurement precision for portable applications

CHICAGO, JANUARY 19, 2012 Leading multi-channel electronics distributor Newark element14, a business of Premier Farnell (LSE:pfl), announced today it was stocking the new Tektronix THS3000 handheld oscilloscope series designed for debugging, installing and repairing complex electronic systems in both field and lab environments.

In today’s world, engineers are often called upon to measure a variety of signals in variety of settings. For many industrial, power generation or power efficiency applications, measurements can include digital and analog control signals made in conjunction with high voltages and currents and often, these measurements are not only made in the lab but also in the field.

With up to 200 MHz bandwidth and a 5 GS/s sample rate, these scopes are the highest performing handheld oscilloscopes available today. Rugged, but lightweight at 4.8 lbs, they also offer up to seven hours of battery life and four isolated channels for use in even the most demanding conditions.

The THS3000 series and the complete Tektronix offering are available for same-day shipping at www.newark.com/tektronix
