The US Deparment of Defense issued a cable spec for RG58. The letter after the "58" is supposed to denote what the centre (center) conductor is made up of:-
A- Stranded steel conductors with copper plating
B- Solid copper centre conductor
C- Stranded copper centre conductor
The trouble is, the makers of the cable seem to forget the original spec.
