The MCP3901 is a dual delta-sigma ADC analog front end .High accuracy and low power operation, ideal for energy measurement and power monitoring applications in addition to some industrial sensing and some medical applications. Features 16/24-bit delta-sigma A/D converters, internal programmable gain amplifiers, an internal voltage reference, and phase-delay compensation with up to 91 dB SINAD. The MCP3901 has a very low power operation of 14mW at 5V with sample rates up to 64 ksps. Communication with the MCP3901 is done via the SPI interface enabling control of the PGAs, oversampling ratio for control of the output data rate (up to 64 ksps), resolution, dithering, shutdown and other communication features.
