The innovative iLCD design enables you to store any Windows font, static and animated graphics, text templates and macros on the iLCD controller’s flash memory. By using iLCD technology, electronic developers can develop appliances including a touch panel display with up to 10.2" within a few days even if the application is run on a 50 cent processor. You can quickly and easily realize any formatted text messages, display static and animated graphics or draw frames and lines for to make up an attractive screen layout. All demmel product’s iLCD panels offer USB, RS232, I2C and SPI interfaces. An optional TCP/IP interface board accelerates the development process and connects the iLCD to the net. Color iLCD panels are available from 2.8" (240x320 pixel) to 10.2" (1024x600 pixel) and are subject to constant further development. As a result, the 5.7" iLCD DPP-CT3224-x was replaced by the new DPP-6448 supporting full VGA resolution (640x480). Hence it offers the quadruple number of pixels with nearly the same outline dimensions for the same price. To simply adapt applications, new commands for scaling of coordinates, fonts and graphics are available. Why iLCD Nowadays in times of esthetic and functional screen layouts, well known by users of mobile phones and organizers, people are expecting an informative and attractive graphic display layout on their heating or machine controls, instead of just a simple text display. The use of proportional fonts and graphical elements, like animated icons, cause very high development costs, and require a costly micro controller with more memory and processing speed to satisfy the additional requirements for the LCD control. Using the iLCD product family dramatically cuts the development costs on one hand, on the other hand, you can still use a low cost micro controller or any SPS, as all required fonts, static and animated graphics, text templates and macros can be easily stored to the flash memory of the iLCD Controller via our free iLCD setup software.
