Embedded World Madness!
Embedded World is upon us again and we have just shipped 150 Kg of equipment out to Germany.
This year MPC Data are attending in force with a presence on at least 4 stands though technology. At last count we had 23 different demos ready to run (if all the kit has been collected together!) so it should turm out to be a fantastic showcase for our products, services and know-how across a few stands with our other partners.
We will have a few competitions running, including the chance to win your own BeagleBoard-xM or a full copy of Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2008.
The team at Element 14 have given me the fantastic opportunity to man a demonstration pod on the Farnell stand all day Wednesday to show-off the latest BSP products and discuss all things embedded. Please do come along and tell me about your project developments if you get the chance. Hopefully we will have a couple of demos running including a Delta Robot built out of some model servos and other bits to demonstrate real-time control with Windows Embedded Compact. Lot's of people on the web seem to be building these delta robost so we though we would have a go to see how difficult it is - my contraption is shown below.
We have been trying to think of something useful with it - maybe you have some ideas. We plan to share the technology, code and design details with you on Element 14 after the show plus a video of it in action for those who can't make it in person.
The main demo fest will be on our MPC Data Stand in Hall 12 - 363 right next to the Renesas pavillion:
We welcome your visit on either of the above stands at EW11 – please come and have a look at our impressive demo display where we will be showcasing the following:
