NXP Semiconductors has launched a free iPhone application, allowing engineers to search, buy and share more than 10,000 products parts from NXP’s High Performance Mixed Signal and Standard Products portfolio on their Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
Engineers can browse and search the database of NXP products by product functions and part numbers to get product specifications. Datasheets, application and packaging information also are available at the touch of a finger tip.
By placing products directly into a shopping cart, the user of the NXP app is directed to online stores of NXP’s worldwide distribution partners to complete the transaction..
(As you may know, element-14 also offers an iPhone app so that you can keep up with discussions and other content on this site.)
Is shopping and/or browsing for parts on a mobile device the wave of the future? Would you (do you?) use an iPhone or other smart phone to research and/or order components?
cheers,
Always handy.
Chris.
