Videos of participating robots

This is one of our first runs on what was to become our first 3 kg standard class sumo. In this video we just attached the motors, wheels and controllers to a piece of acrylic and used RC remotes to drive. It proved to be very difficult to control these robots as the motors are very powerful and the robot is very sensitive.

This is the event where Slayer - our 3 kg sumo won first place. This video is from the finals and the opponent in this video is from Lithuania. This opponent robot has won events all over the world: most BRS events have been won by him, he won 1st place in Austria at Robocup and event in San Fransisco at Robogames he won. But this time for the firs and thus far only time we won in this class.

This is a video of another one of our 3 kg sumos Killer. He has trouble finding the opponent but the opponent is a lot weaker than him so when he finally gets his lock the opponent has no escape. This robot has won 2. place at least three times but never first. It has problems with grip and sensor speed as it uses analog infrared sensors.

This a video of the first event we entered with sumo robots. The two robots were both built by us at the same time by two teams of students of our university.

There are more videos on youtube of these robots and BRS in general. If I can find some more  that are not on youtube already I will post them here.
