The importance of environmental considerations in product selection and use - RESEARCH
The environment is a watch word to many retailers and consumers - organic, natural, low CO2, green, and so on.
But in industry there are different considerations - such as health and safety, will it work reliably/get the job done?
However, 'environmental' pressures are increasing in industry as companies try to promote their 'green credentials'.
But what is said in the boardroom is not always what happens on the production shop floor or at the work bench.
So, 3 questions -
1) How aware are you of environmental pressures in your daily work?
2) How important are they to you in product selection (e.g. RoHs, WEEE, GWP)?
3) Would you pay a premium for a product that reduces the environmental impact?
Thanks in advance
