Haha i was just writing a post about this!

Yeah I say we move over there ASAP. While it might not support the spellchecker, we can request any features in their feedback section and as long as it's sensible, I'm quite sure they'll try to accommodate us. Other than that, the site offers lots of cool functionality which isn't available in the Google Groups.

So everyone, sign up to element-14.com (i sent everyone email invitations), and make sure you subscribe to the email notifications! Then, if you have time, filling out your profile and uploading a picture would be great!

It's got a built-in spell checker, but I know what you mean, I rely on the Firefox spell checker to highlight miss-spelt words. I'll look & see whether there's some way (or user prefernce) to turn it off, or detect you're using a spell-check capable web browser.

Looks like it doesn't play nicely with these fancier text editors which present you with nice menus when you right-click. By enabling browser spell check we'd have to turn off the right-click menus (preventing you from doing things like adding links, adjusting table columns, etc), otherwise when you right-click on a incorrectly spelt word it brings up that menu, rather than the Firefox word options.

If you're uber techie you could use this Greasemonkey script for Firefox that always enables the spell checker, but will keep the context menus.. at least that way, you'll get a heads up as to whether something is mis-spelt.
