Load Google Translate Hello,
I am wondering if if is possible for a net to have more than one name in Eagle? I guess at the moment the name is how the software tracks connectivity of nets over the schematic, so I guess this probably isn't possible.
This would be a useful labelling aid where (for example) a microcontroller IO pin is used for several different operations depending on context.
Thanks,
James
Edit: A similar question was asked back in July by another poster, but no replies have been made.

Hi James,
you are right: A net can have exactly one name. EAGLE recognizes the name and tracks connectivity of net segments in the schematic. Currently I don't know about plans to change this, but I will forward your proposal to our development team.

Richard
you can use long and multiple function name to label a net.
