Load Google Translate The Amended Ecodesign Working Plan study is being undertaken to provide the European Commission with information in order to produce a Working Plan.
The aim of the Working Plan is to compile ‘an indicative list of product groups which are considered priorities for the adoption of implementing measures under the Ecodesign Directive’.
The first Working Plan (COM(2008)660) was published in October 2008 and provided the indicative list for the period 2009-2011. This first plan has delivered 30 preparatory studies and the adoption of 11 regulations. This second Working Plan will create a list for the period 2012-2014 and is expected to be a lot larger than its predecessor due to the expansion of the Eco-Design Directive scope to include energy-related products.
The study is being carried out for the European Commission by VHK in the Netherlands. The study began back in November 2010 and was expected to deliver its results at the end of October but nothing has been published as yet.
