Load Google Translate It seems multi channel counter (-timer) cards are a dying breed. NI makes an expensive 8 channel card but I would need several for my application.
Can anyone recomend a development kit / demo board that would let me try this? I want to count pulses that are 0.5 to 1 µs wide with a 1 to 10 ms integration period, 16 bit counters would be fine.
This device looks interesting and the price is OK: http://apple.clickandbuild.com/cnb/shop/ftdichip?productID=129&op=catalogue-product_info-null&prodCategoryID=5
I'm not sure if the free software tools are up to the task.
Any ideas?

Cabe,
That looks useful; I will call them.
I did find some core code, ranging from open source to over $5000, but for now an OTS solution would be great.
