Load Google Translate I need to measure some vary fast digital signals, and see their individual timing,
so I got plenty of signal level resolution, but want scope probles who do not load the signal with 10pF
this is not good when signals are in nS speeds !
any one know where to get specially designet scope probes with VERY low capacity loading ??
If you have a couple thousand dollars to spend a Tek P6150 is amazing <0.15pF expect there are cheaper probes available, or buffer the signals using FETs
Hello,
Regarding ultra low capacitance probe In the Tektronix range , I found probe , which is 3.9pf ,500Mhz, Tektronix "TPP0500", other one is TPP1000, 1GHz, and loading of 3.9pf.Please see attached web link http://www.tek.com/passive-probe
Let me know, if it is not right one.
Thank you,

Hi,
It all depends on which scope is using. The TPP1000 (3.9pF) is only compatible with DPO/MSO4000B and DPO/MSO5000.
Other alternatives might be the P6158 Low capacitance probe (1.5pF) http://www.tek.com/datasheet/20x-low-capacitance-probe
Or the TAP1500 Active probe (<1pF)
There are other solutions depending on scope used.
Thank you,

Farnell technical,
thanks alot, I guess active probes add delay to the signal,
but offcourse if I use 4 of the exactly same probes the delay should be the same,
and therefore not jamm my important measurements.
I prefer passive probes, and will see what exist, the scopes we use are from Agilent MSO-X 3054A
with standard 10:1 probes, they load with 11pF !!
I would try the Tektronix Probe selector http://www1.tek.com/Measurement/programs/advisor/
if they need more information or a faster answer send your question to our IB-EMEA-Support mailboxib-emea-support@tektronix.com
I don't know how fast your signals are but I have had great sucess using the Tek P6139A 500MHz probes. They are a litte higher in capacitance at 8pF but have worked for me.
Hi,
You have choice Tektronix P6158 (o/c 390-8574) , according to Tektronix , it will work on any oscilloscope and there are Agilent probes has similar specifications,N2874A ( our o/c 8690693 ),other one is N2876A our o/c 1903994, capacitance is 1.7pf and 2.6pf .
