Load Google Translate I think that a Saturday or Sunday meet-up for the robotics team would be great. Obviously it's not essential, but if a few of us came it would be productive! And I know that a few of our members are involved in the software book club on Saturdays, so we could sort out a convenient time after that.
What do you think?
Once a week isn't really often enough - but I think that people will see each other a lot more in their teams as we actually start working. For example, all us mech guys will meet up before a manufacturing session to discuss the parts to be made, and then afterwards to confirm the parts for next time. I guess the same will be true of group coding/hacking sesions, but not sure if it will work out that way for you guys - maybe you are solo coders/hackers
You're right weekly isn't enough if we're going to get it finished well in advance. When we find a suitable room we could do ad-hoc meetings as and when people have time in smaller groups to work on more in-depth things.
Thanks
Oliver
Mikhail, you're quite right. Unless you're the likes of an amazing coder who can comfortably code in any OS, language, framework, and otherwise environment like Pedro
I think coding in a group really helps productivity, as quick questions can get answered, and pieces of code can be tested.
Also, more machines available mean less build time and more power to look stuff up. We should set up ad-hoc distcc grids ![]()
I think Oliver's quite right. More meetups are required, and more solid hacking hours. Everything else is so hectic atm, can hardly take a day out. Two days of the week at least, I think, will get us really going. Saturday's a fine time.
