Thanks Dave.. It came as a serious shock to me, since the credit card report came 1st, and I thought, when it dropped the $44 from the balance, that maybe a monthly billing on a storage unit had been processed early, but when I checked the statement online, it showed a double charge from Newark-US. At least, according to the transaction history, it shows both as still pending, but these still count as a 'Posted' against the account. (read as processed & accepted.) both transactions are still showing as pending..
Now, I just hope I can get the accound up again for when the storage unit auto-payment comes due.
And... it gets even more complicated.... I receive word that the 2nd charge has been refunded.. Only, when I read the transaction history, I get not the 1st but BOTH transactions refunded.. And, top it off today, I can no-longer access the newark website (responds back with 'Internal Server error - Read'), and thus, can no-longer track to see what if going on.. I don't even think Excederine can help this head-ache!!!!!
I have been copied on a couple of emails and the rep who you have been working with will be sending you the resolution soon, as for the Newark website being down; we are working to get it back up and running again as soon as we can. Again, I am very sorry for the confusion this is not the expectation we want to set with doing business with us.
Thanks Dave.. It's finally finilized, paid for, and arrived somewhere around noon yesterday (Friday 11-30-2012).. Now comes the fun.. I've already put the Wheezy-Raspbian image onto a SD card, and fired-up the device with a USB keyboard, & a composite LCD monitor (was a portable screen for the game-cube.. Only composite monitor I have right now.. Waiting for a HDMI to VGA Female adapter cable right now. (I'm still on a budget.. Only other monitors I have are HD15 plugs.) powered it up off a 4.8V LG cell phone recharger, and appears to work, but now to find how to get everything up & running. Thanks again, Sorry I was a pain to everyone (& Newark..) .. Just that the double charge on the debit card threw me (and the finances!) for a loop! Stephen

Interesting... I ordered a Raspberry Pi from Newark/Element 14 back on November 18th.. I was promptly billed on same day.. There WERE 20 items in stock.. (at the time)
I then check the order status later that week.. Item had been back-ordered, to be shipped after November 26th. (a whole week later).
I checked the status yesterday, (November 27th) to see if it had been shipped.. Back-ordered, to be shipped December 10th. (another 2 weeks?!?!?!?!?)
Then, the kick in the teeth.. I just got notice in my email, that my item had been shipped... and re-billed!!! (My credit card also reports transactions to my email.)
exact same order#, Exact same PO#. and now, my credit card (a pre-paid) is showing a 2nd billing from Newark, marked November 27th.
I dealt with Newark many, many years ago, ordering parts for a single-board computer from a friend in Canada. (based on the Zilog Z180 (PLCC version of the Hitachi HD64180))
and had bad experience with them then.. But, at the time, they were the ONLY place I could find all of the parts.
I'm hoping this was a one-time fluke, but getting billed twice? I'm not looking to discredit Newark, but this shouldn't be happening.
