TDK-Lambda LS100-12 Review

TDK-Lambda LS100-12

- Excellent housing and heatsnik, strong and easy to mount. Easy to open. Good cooling

- At  first look I thought I'll find something loose inside but was L6  and L8 - small ferrite rings.

- Good quality components (Rubycon MXG and YXH capacitors...)

- 3 year warranty

Some tests:

Param.Specs.Found
Out Voltage Range10,8-13,2v9,2-14,3v /4,5A
Load Regulation96mV100mV @ 8,6A, 10mV@4A
Short circuit testmax 30s5s, 10s .... ok

Noise:  with 8,5 - 5 - 4,5 - 3,5A no noise, with 110mA - some noise. Still searching...

A very good product at a fair price.

Thanks for ... opportunity and PSU.

I agree with Danteo. Good power supply at a fair price.

I am away from home most of the time so I have been using it as a "portable" prototyping power supply for my personnal projects for about two weeks now. I take it with me in my suite case with the parts I need. It is pretty light weight for the rated output and came with a nice little box I use to protect it while travelling. The only thing is I don't have a portable oscilloscope si I didn't check the load regulation. I am working on a project with microcontrollers and power LEDs so the 8,5 amp capacity is very interesting. I didn't take it to more than 2 amps yet, but I sure will!

It makes it possible for me to work on projects I have been delaying for a long time because of the lack of time. For the price, I should have bought it before!
