CadSoft Computer and Autodesk announce technology collaboration

With the integration of Autodesk Fusion 360, EAGLE expands its capabilities and simplifies the ECAD-to-MCAD workflow

CadSoft Computer launches its latest version 7.5 of the popular PCB design software EAGLE. With this release, CadSoft now offers a comprehensive ECAD-MCAD  design suite, through the integration of EAGLE with Autodesk Fusion360. In addition, this latest version of EAGLE provides users with an integrated solution for simulation and signal integrity analysis, powered by Felicitas Customized Engineering.

This release is a milestone for EAGLE as CadSoft embraces the wider technology ecosystem to extend EAGLE’s capabilities and compatibility through the product design cycle. CadSoft is increasingly focused on supporting its customers with end-to-end product design solutions centered around EAGLE.
Robin Colman, General Manager at CadSoft Computer

Fusion 360 brings CAD, CAE and CAM together in the cloud. It’s an integrated, connected and accessible platform built for the new ways products are being designed and made.

With the help of an IDF-3D visualization tool, a user’s EAGLE STEP files can now be exported directly from EAGLE straight into Fusion 360. Together, EAGLE and Fusion 360 provide a smooth transition from ECAD to MCAD and a powerful technology solution to deliver time and cost savings for engineers bringing products to market.

Autodesk is teaming with CadSoft to deliver the software that designers and engineers need to adapt to the emerging future of making things.  The integration of Fusion360 with EAGLE brings designers a single, cohesive ECAD-MCAD product design solution which greatly simplifies the design workflow for EAGLE users.
Stephen Hooper, senior director for manufacturing industry strategy, Autodesk
Support for more advanced simulation and signal integrity functions is a growing need for professional design engineers and we at Felicitas are very pleased to have partnered with CadSoft to bring high-end simulation and signal integrity analysis to EAGLE.
Heinz Hornung, CEO at Felicitas Customized Engineering
