Newark element14 has donated $10,000 to children’s charity Shoes and Clothes for Kids following a recent golf event with vendors, customers and employees, which took place at the Cherokee Hills Golf Course in Valley City, Ohio.

The aim of the event to come together as a team while raising money for the Northeast Ohio Charity, Shoes and Clothes for Kids (www.sc4k.org).

SC4K is the only non-profit organization in Greater Cleveland providing new clothing at no charge to thousands of children in need, all year round. Through a network of 32 distribution partners, SC4K positively impacts the lives of children living in the Northeast Ohio area, improving their self-esteem and giving them the confidence that comes from having brand new shoes and clothes. SC4K has earned the coveted 4-Star charity rating and the result is $0.92 of every dollar goes to the families and children who need it most.

At the end of the day, the team raised over $10,000 for the families in Northeast Ohio.

Dan Hill, Business President of Newark element14 said: “We are delighted to have been able to make this contribution to this important local charity. It was a combination of extreme generosity from all of our suppliers and customers who provided raffle items, monetary support and time out of their busy schedules to support the cause.”

Newark element14 matched a large portion of the money raised to meet the target of $10,000.

Newark element14 employs over 200 employees in the Richfield/Cleveland area. It is active in the local community and partners with a number of local businesses and charities.
