Introduction The Sensors MET MQTT Station The software Public Display of Data Introduction The requirement for this module was to have a weather station that would transmit weather data over the internet to OpenHAB. Why the internet? because we can and because what would an IOT solution be without the Internet. Hence there was a lot to be done.   The Sensors The ideas was to keep things in budget and use scrap parts to build a Weather station. I did get some of it workin ...

IQU - Door Approach Video Capture Demonstration                   This is an update to the IQU project entered in the Forget Me Not Design challenge showing a Raspberry Pi with Pi-Cam capturing video of my walkway as I approach the door. The Pi-Cam is mounted in a bay window adjacent to the door. I am using a mirror so the Pi-Cam can take some video of itself to show where it is. Note, you can see the red ...
This is an update to the IQU project entered in the Forget Me Not Design challenge showing a STM320U sensor mounted on a window frame to detect when the window is open. I mounted an STM320U on one of the window frames in my house that is prone to letting rain in when it is windy. The sensor is enclosed in a white case, but the red solar cell cannot be covered without killing its power scavenging capability. I mounted a corresponding magnet on the window - (it is not covered with white for this v ...
