The other seven people who are taking part in  the AdaFruit Flora Challenge are probably writing their first blog posts and discussing bits, bytes, shift registers, resistance, current and lots of other technical stuff.  Don't worry I will get on to that but for now I wanted to talk about the more creative side of my project. The Challenge asked for technology that helps people get that much closer. Looking at my proposal I wrote: The device that i am proposing is a piece of wearable ...
Hi, I'm Linda and I'm very excited to be one of the eight competitors in this challenge! Jeej!   The idea I have for this project is to make a toy camera/colour game for small kids. While in graduate school I used to make games for kids in artmuseums and musical games for kids in primary school. Although I still make musicprojects, it's been quite a while since I made an actual game. So when this challenge came along, I thought off making a new game. This time one for small children (like ...

I also carry a lo ...
As shown on the "Get Closer" challenge page, I was lucky enough to be selected to bring my project idea into reality, which I'm exceedingly excited about.   The original (basic) project idea came to my mind when I first saw the new Adafruit Flora product, then when I saw the element14 competition I decided that I should have a try at entering it with my project idea but didn't have time to do it straight away. This proved to be a lucky coincidence as I went out for a skate that evening (In ...
