I built a second set of circuits using MC78L05ACP regulators in a T092, and powered them up using a 9V battery. I'm starting out with a simple regulator circuit as shown below: I built 2 circuits on prototyping pcb material, one with my regular caps, and one with the poly caps. When I checked the first circuit, the regulator was working fine with about +_2mv ripple

"Give a man a capacitor and he'll charge for a day, teach him to use an ESR meter and he'll spend all afternoon measuring stuff......"  I compared the atlas ESR+ readings to my Fluke 87 DMM on a couple of my current hot film power supply caps and the new Poly caps: From left to right: 4.7uf 20V tantalum, 4.7uf 10V tantalum polymer, 100uf 35V aluminum electrolytic, and 180uf 16V SVPF electrolytic.
