Since July 2006 we have been used to six substances forming the RoHS1 and RoHS2 Directives. However, that is likely to change in the future with the addition of four phthalates, mainly used to make plastics more pliable. It is likely that DEHP, BBP, DBP and DiBP will be captured under the scope of RoHS2 - 2011/65/EU.
