|Waste electronics (WEEE directive)
Europe has been the trailblazer for developing comprehensive legislation covering the electronics industry. The use and control of hazardous substances has been covered by both the RoHS Directive and REACH Regulations, the WEEE and Battery Directives look at recycling and recovery rates, whilst the CE Mark Directive covers legislation over a whole range of product functions in electronics. Other legislation covered here includes intellectual property (IP) law and trade compliance across Europe.
