DRAFT <Please do not consider now>Introduction  Law enforcement officers are often searching for vehicles that have been reported stolen, are suspected of being involved in criminal or terrorist activities, are owned by persons who are wanted by authorities, have failed to pay parking violations or maintain current vehicle license registration or insurance, or any of a number of other legitimate reasons. Victims and witnesses are frequently able to provide police with a description o ...
Poop Buster Setup Beaglebone AI is used to control a x-y gantry robot by controlling it via USB serial port. some videos are attached towards the later part of this blog   My Journey Not enough disk space for apt upgrade on Beaglebone AI   along the way, we get to know from the community that a fan is needed for BeagleBone AI, else it risks running into overheating. Tariq Ahmad has offered us a fan and mayermakes has made a cap for it, while it is also mentioned inBeagleBone AI ( ...
IdeaThis project is an attempt to build a in-car safety device, which monitors driver's attention to the road and create alerts if driver becomes sleepy or distracted. The statistics is quite alarming in the regard of drowsy driving. Here are the quotes from US  https://www.cdc.gov/features/dsdrowsydriving/index.html An estimated 1 in 25 adult drivers (aged 18 years or older) report having fallen asleep while driving in the previous 30 days. Introduction        While thinking about doing a project for Halloween, this idea popped up in my mind. Imagine you are staring at a picture and looking at the details. Suddenly if the picture turns scary! As shown in the animated image below?  Who will not be scared to their bones? Source: https://images.app.goo.gl

This will be my entry for the Vision thing Project14.  I wanted to do some kind of a project like this for a while now, I had a few different ideas on how to approach it, computer vision seemed like a really valid option. My original plan was to use the Beaglebone AI board, but I had a lot ...

OK, so now  I have gotten the BB AI up with its output on my tv. I have plugged in a Dell keyboard with a mouse into it as well. My ethernet cable is plugged in and active. I got a good deal for an Optrex 4x20 which has a ribbon cable attached to it. So I'm going to break out my Metcal and unsolder the ribbon cable, and then replace it with a 16 pin header into which I will plug I2C driver directly into the header. I think I will be limited on what I can see as I only have my webcam (USB) a ...

I wanted to make a terminal connection to the BeagleBone AI board I have, just to make sure I could still do things if I messed up elsewhere - which is something I have done with other boards. I am using a FTDI232 board to make the connection to the BBAI terminal connector. As I was buying one of these boards for the BBAI I decided to buy one as part of a package with an ESP32 CAM and some Dupont cables for later fun.   I was able to obtain a suitable cable (thanks shabaz ) that connects t ...
The Artificial Neural Network that I want to use with the LDR camera and the BeagleBone AI is one derived from a book by H Pao. As it has been some time since I used this programme I thought it would be beneficial to refresh my memory of how it works. Fortunately I have a copy of the programme with will work in a Command window with Windows 10. I no longer have a copy of the Microsoft C compiler so I am not able to make any changes to this version. Hopefully I will be able to use a C compiler on ...
I am trying to find a connector and wires for the 3 pin TTL serial connector on the BeagleBone AI. I know that it is 1.27 mm spacing but I have not been able to locate anyone who can sell me a connector with wires and connector. I have purchased a FTDI USB to serial convertor with 0.1 inch spaced pins for Dupont connecting wires so I just need to convert from 1.27 mm to 0.1 inches (2.54 mm). I know they exist, I just cannot find any.   I can remember reading about this in a comment on one ...
As I cannot think of any more excuses for not powering up the BeagleBone AI so that I can use it to run the ANN for my LDR Camera, I decided to try and get it going. I thought I had a Raspberry Pi 3 power supply that came with a Type C connector but as it turns out, I haven't. I also though I had a power module with a USB connection that was able to provide 5V at 2 amps or so. Turns out I haven't, it is 5.2V at 1.8 A and as I wasn't sure if 5.2V would be OK I decided not to use it. All that left ...
