As development boards such as the raspberry pi and freedom platforms have swept the industry, we at Bud Industries have created enclosures to house the boards and their peripherals.  As we chatted with engineers and other users, we heard about several problems.  First, they were often not using one board, but several.  Second, as they used these boards, they found themselves with a jumble of boards, cables and components scattered across their workstation.  Finally, when they ...
A few weeks ago I was able to attend the Mini Maker Faire in Cleveland, Ohio where I got to meet with local Makers and discuss a variety of subjects including Raspberry Pi, 3D Printing, and programming.  One of the highlights of my trip there was meeting the Dave and Lauren Egts. Video cable connection. Unfortunately, the normal PC monitor—a VGA monitor—does not support connectiv- ity with Raspberry Pi. The Raspberry Pi team, in fact, has thought beyond this and provided the latest and oldest connectivity for video. The VGA technology is old and the last of its kind. It is fast being replaced with DVI or HDMI. However, almost every TV—old or new—has an audio/ video input socket at its back for con- nectivity with a VCP, VCR, gaming console, etc. ...

Saw this on kickstarter and I thought I would share with the community. Looks like they've already hit their funding targets and I think the out of the box simplicity could really appeal. The Brick Pi was created by US based Dexter Industries who make "educational robotic stuff". You can take a look at the Kickstarter page here, or look them up on Google+. ...
