Raspberry pi can speak using eSpeak library, so what is the big deal you ask? For those who are not familiar with eSpeak library, it is an open source speech synthesizer that is available for a lot of platforms. Simulink provides a visual programming language which uses the eSpeak library under the hood so that non-programming folks like me can still use the library effectively.   Here is a 90 second Facebook video that shows how to use the eSpeak block in Simulink and make your Raspberry ...
I will be adding a load of details tomorow for this but for now i wanted to share the install vid of the latest windows IoT for the PI2.   So it was finally released today 29th July 2015 I thought I would give it an immediate install and share with you all. previous posts relating to this DAC and software Raspberry PI 2.0, Windows 10 and how to drive the DAC8734 from TI (AKA the DAC8734EVM Road test Board) Raspberry PI 2.0, Windows 10 and Diagnosing issues with the SPI bus when writing software for the DAC8734.   This is the last ideo and post dealing with using a Raspberry PI 2 to drive and test a DAC8734 Quad 16bit SPI bus Digital to analogue convertor from TI, and the subject of an upcomming road test   We have already reviewed the ...
You know your an Engineer when this combination of ICONS means something exciting \   Here is a link to the Second video in this short series Raspberry PI 2.0, Windows 10 and Diagnosing issues with the SPI bus when writing software for the DAC8734. And here is the third Raspberry PI 2.0, Windows 10 and how to drive the DAC8734 from TI - Software review   OK, so its been a busy week learning, researching and creating sample content for the Raspberry PI using windows 10 to drive the ...
I have been working over the last few weeks on getting the DAC8734 from Texas Instruments up and running on several microcontrollers and I found there is a distinct lack of info on how to use this chip and this will effect the up coming ROAD TEST   So I have now managed to get sample code written for several microcontrollers and the Raspberry PI (Arduino UNO and Several Launch pads ) and this will be detailed in other videos and posts   I am going to create a complete tutorial video ...
The Custard Pi 3 plugs into the Raspberry Pi GPIO (A, B, B+ and 2) and provides 8 analogue inputs using the SPI bus. This post shows how you can connect 2 x Custard Pi 3 to a Raspberry Pi and get 16 inputs. (There is soldering required). The Custard Pi 3 uses the SPI bus. The connections are shown below. J1-24 is the chip enable (CE0) output from the GPIO which is used to address the AtoD chip - MCP3208. The other pins are   J1_19:  MOSI - data out from the GPIO (input to ...
