I'm new around here and i got myself in a bit of an issue.
On my Raspberry Pi i installed Raspbian and all the configurations for an Adafruit 2.8 inch TFT display. As you see in the picture below, in the left side of the screen i got a rectangular-shape zone which i don't want it to be there(first picture).
Also i would like my pi, when i open for example preferences menu, the whole window to be fitted to the screen(not to scrool sideways to reach the X button to close it). You can see in picture 2.
I was able to pick up a Verifone 3750 cheap! Now my thought was to use USB connect to get to low lever printing. At the binary level I could send code to it to print for debugging Or locate a printer driver and go with a straight up thermal printer. Trying first with my PC and then the PI
