Hi Dave,

The Energenie device does transmit information when opened, and when closed. The protocol has a separate indication for open and close status as part of the message. For the door sensors, it sends a message containing a record (hexadecimal) 64 01 xx where the xx is 00 when closed, and 01 when open.

I have a number of Enocean switches so I will see if I can get the door sensors. Element14 seem to have stopped selling these now.

The Enocean modules sent a message to show status at every change in status.

The best part was they were self powered requiring very little light (100lux)

I have been looking for a solution to monitor doors and windows and of the RF transmitters I have found locally, they only transmit when the door is opened. There is no signal then closed. You mentioned that it sends RF for open and close. Do you happen to know if the protocol itself indicates open/closed status as part of the message?

heya, thanks I remember getting the joystick to work earlier this year but havent done a great deal with the sensors yet, maybe I could get the webpage to auto-update with the sensor data?

Update:

We've tested meanwhile the RS422 (ful duplex) function with 2 Raspberry Pi - see attached picture.

The production will start soon. I hope we will have the first ones in the middle of August. List price including VAT is 29,99€
