We learned today of a website that has cloned element14. When you're on it, it looks completely legit—except the URL shows it to be a subdomain of another site. Besides us, they've also cloned other popular technical sites.
We suspect it was set up to obtain personal information by collecting account details if you attempt to login. We are making every effort to have this site taken down immediately; we are notifying our customers and element14 Community members to be careful.
How can you tell if you're on the real element14? The easiest way is to look at the URL that appears in your browser. It should start with either of the following:

For the Internet-savvy reading this, you'll recognize this is actually a sub domain of <somethingElse>. Don't be fooled by the fact that it starts out with "element14".
If you received any recently asking you to login to such a site, or have visited a site like this for any reason, please take appropriate precautions to reset your password by visiting the element14.com/community website and updating your profile. You may also wish to check your computer for any malware as this site may be doing other things in the background without your knowledge.
