    • Xplained Pro Starter Kit for ARM Cortex-M4 based SAM4L MCU

    Overview

The Atmel® SAM4L Xplained Pro Starter kit is hardware platform to evaluate the ATSAM4LC4C microcontroller. Supported by the Atmel Studio integrated development platform, the kit provides easy access to the features of the Atmel ATSAM4LC4C and explains how to integrate the device in a customer design. The ATSAM4L-XSTK starter kit includes the Atmel SAM4L Xplained Pro, I/O1 Xplained Pro, OLED1 Xplained Pro, PROTO1 Xplained Pro, and SLCD1 Xplained Pro extension boards. The SAM4L Xplained Pro board is available as an evaluation kit or starter kit. Extension boards can also be individually purchased.

The Xplained Pro MCU series evaluation kits include an on-board Embedded Debugger (EDBG), and no external tools are necessary to program or debug the ATSAM4LC4C. EDBG enables the user to debug the target device without an external debugger. EDBG also brings additional features with a Data Gateway Interface (DGI) and a Virtual COM Port for streaming of data to a host PC. The Atmel EDBG will enumerate as a composite USB device with separate interfaces for each function. The Xplained Pro extension series evaluation kits offers additional peripherals to extend the features of the board and ease the development of customer designs. Extension boards can also be individually purchased.

Key Applications: Building Automation (Comfort and Control, Fire and Security), Home Entertainment(Audio, Industrial Automation (Instruments, PLC and I/O Modules) Metering (Electricity Meters, In-Home Display Units), Mobile Electronics (Mobile Phones, Portable Audio Players, Tablets and Notebooks), PC Peripherals (Audio I/O Devices, PC Accessories)
