Selecting Clock ICs for Your Application

Selecting Clock IC’s for Your Application will be an overview of Texas Instruments’ clock portfolio, including: buffers, clock generators and RF synthesizers. For each device category discussed, we will outline key specifications and features, such as signal format, phase locked loop noise consideration and phase determinism.

Participants Can Expect to Learn:

  • Signal format (ex. LVDS for clock buffers)
  • PLL noise consideration
  • Phase Determinism
  • TI’s clocking portfolio
Presenter

Simon Damphousse

Simon Damphousse received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees with Dean’s Honor Roll in electrical engineering from Laval University, Québec, Canada, in 1994 and 1996, respectively. Until 2001, he was involved in the research and development of telecommunication equipment for Nortel Networks and AT&T Wireless including MMIC GaAs design and microwave filter design. After 2001, he has been a Design Engineering Manager at ESS Technology with the development of CMOS electronic circuits for consumer products. He is currently working with Texas Instruments as applications manager and member group technical staff on phased locked loop and high performance signal sources for RF applications. He has published four papers in international conferences. He holds three patents in the field of microwave circuits and surface acoustic wave filter and has more patents on pulse width modulation and various digital circuits.
