It's supposed to be a simple project, repurpose a nominally TV receiver USB dongle. Yes it does work in Windows, but that's not the point. We're at the other end of the computing spectrum, we want it on a Raspberry Pi.

There is the gnuradio project, trouble is it seems to be a bit wider that I'd thought, calling in libraries from Python, QT, C and even Ruby. Okay so it's an install fest on the Pi, and rather a long session.

Yes I do understand that some bits in the libraries don't work with ARM, but then it's a work in progress.

 

Yes I have had squeaks out of it. This was using it command line and it was trying hard to get one of the local radio stations, so I do know we stand a chance.
