Hello everyone, I am really happy to present my video demonstration of my Smart Vehicle Headlight prototype, and I am glad it went well.   You can hear the room light switch toggle between on and off which is operated by my brother, for dim light ambient my brother had to use card sheet under the fluorascent bulb, you can see the shadow too...     I had to use heat shrink tube to eliminate self ambient reflection, like this...     I tried poser the LEDs through T ...
WOW!!! Did I just made it... What got into me? I have been working and productive for 7 days in a row...AHAHAHA!!!   Just got to work my LEDs with TIP122 high current transistor...     My soldering station...he deserves this picture as he does his job good...     My idea to connect jumper wires, I had to snap it off the female header and soldered like this...     Testing the TIP122 with LEDs... works like a charm...         I am still have to create sensor circ ...
I am going to start posting behind the scenes of my works...   My making process is still going hardcore with the resources and tools I have and all within the budget I can afford.   The parts from Würth Elektronik taking shape along with my circuit, the connector , bus cable etc...       Testing my LEDs...     ...and my SMD soldering tricks works great... Update: The LEDs I thought broken are still working without head, I can't stop laughing... it's like walking without a head...I think the head dome thing is act as lens and the Würth Elektronik LEDs are hardcore even after the solder heat and head broken. So, not even a single LED was broken while the process of making of this project, REALLY COOL.   Just finished with my SMD LEDs soldering with the soldering station I have and I can afford, but the result is awesome with my ideas and ...
Update: I am working on the soldering WE's SMD LEDs with my tricks and ideas. You know what? it really looks cool and works great...but... I don't think I can do the thermal protection with the board I have etched, it seems super hard and as well the amount of LEDs with thermal holes seems almost snap off point of the board, too close and board is getting weak...My design could work with professional PCB with 3 layers. I am going to finish this project up for demonstration purpose only...will up ...
NEW UPDATE:  Please check end of the blog post...   I am working hard to finish this project lately...Here is the update of my previous schematics and the final PCB design of the board.     Instead of 2N2222A BJT transistor I am using TIP122 now, the TIP122 can handle high current which is upto 5A and at the peak 8A, this is more enough for me to drive current for my LEDs. The resistors will be 10 ohm 1W or more than 1W. The yellow LED series has beed changed as it's forw ...
While I am working on the PCB of my Smart Headlight circuit design, I got the sparkling idea about thermal protection for Würth Elektronik's LEDs. Würth Elektronik's LEDs has thermal pad contact on their high bright LEDs to control heat dissipation, I have seen some post from other Road testers too, but, my idea is to use single mid sized heatsink for all the LEDs. More or less 76 LEDs in total. I can't provide numerous heatsinks for that much volume of LEDs and in small size of circui ...
It took a while for me to post my blog... just had to face some issues and The Christmas celebrations. I have managed to do my schematics of my Smart Headlight circuit.       The 3.3 voltage, GND and ADC channel 8 goes through the ST1 screw terminal of the circuit, the GPIO pins P2.5, P8.2 and P8.3 goes through the ST2 screw terminal. The real excitement is started and I am really excited about this, yes I have started creating my project and it's in progress.
