One day before the final day of the review on this DC/DC TPS54424/20 Converter and the parts arrived. As a summary of the day, it was a roaring success. I was unable to spend the time I wanted before the end of the review process but have managed to successfully replace the parts to obtain 5V. I cannot at this time finalise the test so I plugged it in to check some of the attributes.   Component Installation: One of the challenges I experienced was the component selection. I had a WEBENCH d ...
Resolving Errors In the previous main review post, feeling relaxed knowing that the bulk of the review had been completed, it was time to stand/sit back and seriously consider my errors in the review. It is no use criticising Texas Instruments as it is expected that the EVM board would have been tested to perform at the optimal point. So obviously the first thing to consider is anything that I would have done. For this next stage of the review process I will make comparisons to my past result ...
G'day everyone,   This will be my final blog post before I begin to write the road test review. In this particular video that I have created I have looked at all the electrical functions of the multimeter including Earth Bond, and insulation resistance capabilities. Of also talk in detail the advanced software feature that uses the Electrical measuring functions available on the meter.   I have left the best till last, as I have found that there are other applications that this multi ...
G'day everyone,   This was only extremely spontaneous test that I needed to do and I thought this is a great opportunity to test the logging feature using my Android phone with the Keysight U1461A Insulation Multimeter and the U1117A Bluetooth serial interface. Currently I have been able to locate my other Bluetooth unit dongle for the computer so I haven't been the use the software for logging but this was a great opportunity to test not only the temperature is well but also the logging f ...
Welcome back,   Further advanced into my review of the Keysight Insulation Meter U1461A and it's turning out to be quite nice meter. I've managed to determine that it has a surprising level of resolution running up to 99,999 counts although that is for frequency measurement but it also goes up to 66,000 general digital multimeter functions as well. I have created mostly a video blog on the procedure that of gone into a lot more detail regarding all functions. Unfortunately I don't have a ...
Greetings everyone,   For myself this has been a very eventful couple of weeks since I last posted the initial review. I unfortunately became so unwell I had to visit the hospital and was basically out of commission for a little while. I have two unfortunately take a year off University studies to recuperate but now hopefully I will have a little bit more time to spend on reviewing products until I can get back into my studies and work.   This is the second review where I have create ...
Greetings everyone, Well this is my first blog entry relating to the Keysight U1461A Insulation multimeter. I would like to thank Element 14 and Keysight for the opportunity to carry out this road test review. I will try and create a perspective based on my current qualifications as a communications technician in electronics plus as a student engineer in electronics and communications. This particular multimeter has the distinct advantage of measuring down in the microamps and this is a disti ...
