NASA’s Ionosphere Connection Explorer (ICON) spacecraft is in orbit after its successful launch on Thursday, October 10 of 2019.  A Northrop Grumman Stargazer L-1011 aircraft carried ICON, on a Northrop Grumman Pegasus XL rocket, to an altitude of 39,000 feet.
