    Gertduiono & Raspberry Pi 2

    lexxmt

      Hi

Got brand new Gertduino rev 5 & Raspberry Pi 2 v1,1. When I try follow setup procedure to setup Gertduino I get error on Initial device setup step, (./avrsetup) I always get error message:

Initialising ATmega328p on Gertboard or Gertduino ...
      avrdude: AVR device not responding
      avrdude: initialization failed, rc=-1
Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override
               this check.

Oops - something went wrong, sorry...

      What I checked:

      - Double checked that 4 switches placed correctly to mega328 programming mode.

      - Raspberry PI GPIO pins correctly connected to Gerduino

If I try upload using arduino IDE blink example, I get same error (Board correctly set to Gertduino / GPIO)

What is wrong / how I can fix Gerduino? Raspberry Pi working fine! Is it possible that Gertduino faulty? What is best next step to try?

I also have problems with the Gertduino & RaspPi 2

              But what helped a bit:

upload using programmer (strg+shift+u) AND the most important one:

release the reset jumper after uploading it... it seems, that GPIO 8 does other things than on the old RaspPi...

And I also had problems with uploading, when I had Data_in on PIN 13 during the upload progress (I followed all tutorials, I could find, before I started to work with it!)...

But hard to find solutions on the web...

Has not worked for me either. It appears there is no real good instructions/download to get this working out of the box. I have tried to use it on an older pi, and even the make install file gave me problems this morning. So far it has wasted a lot of my time, and if I cannot get it to work tonight, I am thinking about returning it and looking for another platform.
