can you share build errors & warnings you get during build ??
Hmm, its a week later, so I have already moved on.
The riotboard support docs and misc aren't up to par. What I ended up doing was following these four build steps
The result works without errors.
I don't really understand why a company goes to a lot of effort to build nice hardware, and then doesn't spend the finishing touch of posting fully working examples that don't have weird bugs.
To reproduce, all you have to do is download and install yocto or ubuntu from riotboard.com, both have different issues.
#1 Kernel numbers don't match drivers. Requires changing Kernel folder names to match.
#2 Some funny issue with hdmi driver errors
#3 apt-get can't find repositories, lots of 404's
#1 audio doesn't work. (IE alsa doesn't see any sound hardware)
#2 No apt-get
Is the RiotBoard a supported item?
So far, I have tried:
linaro on mmc results: odd error messages, segmentation crashes, alsa audio worked first go around, next round doesn't recognize card. apt-get packages rather broken.
yocto on mmc results: Alsa audio doesn't work, ethernet randomly gives dropout warnings, no apt-get
ltib build attempt: won't build on modern distros
