Hi Daniel, welcome to the wonderful world of Single Board Computers. There are plenty of starter projects on the site, if you are really new, you might run over to the STEM area where you might find some projects that are geared towards teachers that have classes full of kids being exposed to electronics for the first time.
I did a couple that are cheap and easy, the parts are easily sourced off ebay, element 14, adafruit, or a million other places.
Here are a couple of links to projects I did, but there are bunches more that others have done that range from simple to sophisticated.
Thanks Mike, looks like I have some starter projects!
I'll be frank, I am in no way "good" with computers and bought this in hopes of accessing the tech side of my brain and learn. I have raspian all set up, it starts on my desktop, but i keep asking myself, "Where do I go from here?". I didn't buy this thing to play games either, ok some games...., but i want to explore, learn, figure things out that I never though i could do with a computer. Any help, resources, or advice is greatly appreciated. Bare in mind, the Raspberry is my only computer, and I'm not looking to spend a ton of money. I'm completely open here, so fill me up. That's what she said!!
