Welcome, Gene! I'm not sure how old your grandkids are, but I encourage you to check out the Learning Circuit space. I'll be posting videos about electronics basics and projects that you might be interested in sharing with them. I would also love feedback in what you or they enjoy and what you'd like to see.
Still working my way through this site and trying to understand the resources. I am a semi-retired engineer with more than 40 years of industry experience. Currently I am consulting with clients on the design and development of products and prototypes (electronics, software and PCB design). It is fun doing this as a hobby as opposed to full-time as I can be more selective about the types of jobs that I take on. I have to be careful to leave plenty of time for my own projects, hobbies and grandchildren.
I look forward to working within this large and diverse community.
