Thanks for pulling attention to the board. I missed this compeltely. I even missed the MaaXBoard Single Board Computer + Accessories roadtest and review. Just found it now when looking for info.
I read the specs and it's a decent single board computer.
I have experience with another NXP/element14 produced board before, NXP Warp7. That was not a fully happy experience. Very good hardware kit (very very good!) but it felt support-abandoned by the time I got it. Significant part of the hardware never got OS support.
I'm going to dig further to see if there is movement related to the MaaxBoard .
I haven't. Maybe it's because my Pi's are enough.
It seems like a nice board, if there was a roadtest (there was) again I would definitely apply, same with a design contest, or something.
If you make a competition for add-on boards, I'd love to attend.
(But will hardware be provided?)
I have actually been meaning to pick one up. I certainly have a lot of questions when it comes to it and would like to see how it would handle a few different situations but all and all it does look a good board and on my list for checking out hopefully soon.
You can sign me up for that competition that would be fun. lol
The Maaxboard is a piece of hardware we have available: MaaXBoard
I'm thinking of running some form of competition on designing an add-on board that's cross compatible with the Maaxboard and Raspberry Pi, or across a few different single board computers, or for add-on boards for each platform, maybe including Arduino.
However I need to know if people are using this hardware and what their opinions are of it anyway I want to improve their software and hardware support and find out what's difficult with this board.
