the components and signals have to be inside the coordinates range of (0 0) and (100 80) [mm]. Maybe your board is - at least a part of it - in the negative coordinates area?
THat was it. Stumbled onto it last night. Thanks for your quick response.
I am having similar problems with my board layout in Eagle cad light.
I drew the schematic and when I switch to the board layout, and attempt to move any part of
the design into the board area I get the error shown above..
Eagle cad is dropping these parts outside the board area and then not allowing me to move
them within the board area.
How do I fix this?
Did you get a solution to this problem?
Hi. I have eagle 6.2 free. The board size I am using is 35mm X 27mm. I can increase the size of the board to 50mm X 27mm but when I move an object (device) into the newly created area I get the error message: "The light edition of Eagle cannot perform the requested function. Some objects extend outside the allowed board area." Any ideas appreciated.
