Someone suggested a delta printer before, it never really received any comments
I agree, the search thing leaves some things to be desired. I wish you could search sections so just Ben's page instead of the searches being global free for alls.
Thanks for the link.
Thats pretty much the same thougts I have.
Would be really nice to have it commented by Ben with a build.
I think I've built enough 3D printers for the show
3D Delta printers do exist, and are probably for sale. I've seen them at Maker Faire.
Strangely, they don't seem all that much faster than belt-driven. It's possible the nozzle extrusion becomes the limiting factor.
Could there be to many 3D printers? .... well perhaps.
Last year there where almost an explosion on the topic and besides of the "standard" and delta there is also the scale etc.
Perhaps you could do some kind of smaller overview on the next Maker Faire?
Would be interesting to see whats new and what is happening on this topic.
Especially for us that do not have the same access to these events.. A bit far from Sweden.
Keep up the good work but do not forget to followup on the projects.
(Pinball machine / Wheelchair / Sunglasses / Etc)
That could be a fun idea. "The State of 3D Printers"
I will keep it in mind for Maker Faire!
First of all, sorry if this is an old topic.
This discussion thread does not make it easy to search among threads.
Time for replacing it with a "forum" instead making it easy to use topics etc?
Now to the question/request.
Would love to see Ben creating a Delta based 3D printer.
Love the design and it would be great to get Ben's thoughts on it
And if the design is "to easy".... ramp it up to a version that can be folded together!
Can it be fitted in a tube?
