PiFM - Raspberry Pi as a trasmitter - Music problem

    wallarug

I downloaded the required files from here: http://www.icrobotics.co.uk/wiki/index.php/Turning_the_Raspberry_Pi_Into_an_FM_Transmitter  on the DOWNLOAD link.

I have everything working with the standard settings and a new frequency, BUT I can not seem to get my music files to play correctly.  They are too slow.

I converted them using Switch file converter to 44100 Hz @ 16 bit Mono  which it says is the right format on the wikipedia page I linked above but they don't seem to play right.  All the voices are too deep and the music plays slower than expected.  I tested on my PC but the result is different to when I play on the radio.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I should fix this?
